Freaky Friday is the most emotionally bearing and intimate song we've released. Not even just lyrically, but musically, we wanted each member of the band to have their own moment within the song and express their
anguish.
We wrote the lyrics in this to not only comfort ourselves, but to liberate others from toxic variants in their lives. Not necessarily or exclusively romantic, but in friendship, families and in socio-political contexts, because toxicity comes in all forms and in different ways.
Take solace in that pain is temporary and those who have treated you with disrespect without any remorse, will know and realise their behaviour at some point in their lives, They're the ones who have to live with that, which for us is the ultimate form of closure.
lyrics
Do you feel me?
Getting under your skin,
causing havoc and sin in your mind.
It's Freaky Friday,
I'm haunting you
when I'm not even touching you
Think about your words babe,
As I move on and regain
what you took from me.
I know my worth and,
letting you go was the best
for the both of us.
Don't seal me in with your pain,
It's too late in the day for the game.
Watch me break down the walls all the same,
I am free.
I loved you,
Although at times it was hard
and it made me bleed.
Kept at arms reach,
making me drown and then,
pulling me out again.
But I'm alive and I'm well,
even though you can't tell,
'cos you feel the need
To cover your tracks,
even though you hold the burden,
on your back.
Don't seal me in with your pain,
It's too late in the day for the game.
Watch me break down the walls all the same,
I am free.
Do you feel me?
Do you feel me?
Feel me,
Feel me.

The renditions of these songs are so beautiful and raw. While I love the originals, these stripped down versions show so much feeling from Laura and it just pierces your soul. Love love love. Thanks! supashoppa
I don't hear a lot of this kind of music, gives me ,loose Sonic Youth vibes. Everything about it is cool, like too cool for school cool. I want to skip class and spray paint an alley with these people. Kyle Zarnoch
I started their discography right here with the first EP and listened to their whole discography that very day(a few months ago). In order. I'm glad I did. I wouldn't have wanted to do it any other way cuz songs like "You/Him" and "Sunday Song" immediately captivated me with the songwriting. This band is something special. Can't wait to see what the future has for them. KaneSeatHeadrestOfTouringAmmos
